A Little Bit About Me...                                    (Last updated 2/12/07)

I was born in RI in 1982, and have lived here my whole life. I have a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Rhode Island. I work at (and part manage) a Chinese food restaurant, owned by my high school-sweetheart's family. (He's still my sweetheart now!) I am currently trying to get a more regular schedule to paint my own work as well as murals for other people. I speak a little Cantonese and wish I could help the environment more, and I love to travel!

My work consists mostly of oil paintings of a larger scale, between 18”x 24” and up to 3 feet by 4 feet, although lately I have been working on smaller pieces.   I work in acrylics, pastel, and other media when it strikes my mood. My favorite subjects to paint are colorful skies, clouds, animals, and close-up views of flowers. Although most of my work is based on realism, I often enjoy working in abstract and creative styles. Color is a major aspect of my pieces; I like to use lots of it and make it stand out whenever possible.

I prefer to photograph my own subjects, both for reference for my paintings, alnd also out of sheer enjoyment.  I also occasionally enjoy working on digital art, mostly with the program Photoshop.
